All players are required to attend Trojan Day to facilitate a smooth start to the season. At Trojan Day, players will show their paperwork, and meet their coaches and teammates. The following paperwork must be presented on Trojan Day in order to release your player to participate in upcoming practices. TYL checks paperwork only; we do not keep copies of any paperwork
1) Proof of physical dated more recently than January 1, 2019. A copy of the player’s physical or the signed medical release form will clear a player to begin practice. TYL Medical Release Form
2) Proof of grade level. A recent report card, print out from ParentVue, or other official documentation are acceptable.
After the first practice, your player may not participate in practices if they have not had these 2 pieces of paperwork cleared. This policy is for the safety of our players and will be enforced by the coaches.
NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE WITH RESPECT TO PRACTICING WITHOUT PAPERWORK. PLEASE DO NOT SHOW ANY PAPERWORK TO THE COACHES FOR CLEARANCE.

Before you register your player with Trojan Youth Lacrosse, please check the expiration date of your player's US Lacrosse membership at www.uslacrosse.org. It is required that each player have a US Lacrosse membership with an expiration date after March 31, 2020 for the Spring season. If the membership expires prior to this date, please renew it. Your $30 renewal of membership will extend your membership an additional 12 months from the current expiration date shown on your membership card.
This membership provides the league with insurance for the team and requires 100% membership participation. Your US Lacrosse membership will be validated during registration and you will not be able to complete registration without a valid membership.
TYL makes every effort to manage team size in order to offer each player the most desirable playing experience. We do ask for each player to attend two practices per week and one game per week throughout the season. If there is an anticipated conflict in scheduling, please contact the appropriate commissioner to discuss prior to registering your child.
Volunteers make Trojan Youth Lacrosse happen 100% of the time. It takes a lot of work to execute a lacrosse season and we need your help. There are many different jobs to choose from with different hours to accommodate your schedule. You are required to choose an area of interest during the registration process. When requests for volunteers are sent out, we ask that our families respond and help. Volunteers are asked to give a minimum of 2-3 hours per season, per family. Bottom line is that if your child is playing, you should be helping. Descriptions of the volunteer areas can be found here.
Also, parents should familiarize themselves with Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) to understand our coaching philosophy and the expected conduct of our lacrosse families.
