WE ARE TROJAN YOUTH LACROSSE

Trojan Youth Lacrosse is a fully volunteer youth lacrosse club dedicated to bringing the sport of lacrosse to those boys and girls who will feed into Lassiter High School.  We primarily draw players from Northeast Cobb, although membership within TYL is not restricted to a geographic area.  JTL select team membership, however,  does require residence within the Lassiter High School district.

We are committed to learning, playing and loving lacrosse.  TYL coaches are much more than athletic directors. Our coaches use their passion for lacrosse as the foundation to help kids build character and learn critical life skills from understanding the value of hard work and respect, to giving back to the East Cobb community.

Our Mission

The Trojan Youth Lacrosse mission is to develop a true and lasting love and passion for the game of lacrosse.  The league is dedicated to developing lacrosse skills, great sportsmanship, teamwork, accountability and respect in a healthy and fun environment.  Our coaches focus on developing the character of each player to create the team; winning, becomes the by-product of team character and individual effort.

Our Association

Trojan Youth Lacrosse competes within the Newtown Recreation Lacrosse League www.newtownrec.com and offers teams for boys and girls in grades 1-8.  TYL's Junior Trojan Lacrosse (JTL) division is a select team for boys and girls (living in the Lassiter High School District) in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades who qualify.  TYL competes in a Spring and Fall season each year.

Our History

The Spring of 2006 was our first season, upon branching off from East Cobb Lacrosse; today we are 350+ players strong.  Also in 2006, TYL President/Coach Mark Rowley, was named the Georgia Youth Lacrosse Association's Youth Coach of The Year.

Practices & Game Fields

All practices and games are held at Davis Elementary School, Mabry Middle School, McCleskey Middle School, Simpson Middle School and Lassiter High School.
