Defenders of Troy Fall Registration – Deadline 9/18

Hey All – This message is being sent on behalf of the Trojan Lacrosse Booster Club.

Trojan Lacrosse Families-

After a couple years of having to deal with pandemic related issues, we are so excited to send out information for a full fall/summer schedule the 2022-23 Defenders of Troy (DOT) lacrosse program.

For those new to the Lassiter/Trojan Youth lacrosse programs, DOT, run by Lassiter Lacrosse Booster Club, is a community program designed to promote the growth of lacrosse in the fall and summer. It allows players to grow their lacrosse skills in the ‘offseason’ in a fun and competitive environment. We will offer a comprehensive range of competitive teams, practices, and training opportunities for all involved through our network of experienced coaches and lacrosse alumni.

Structure:

Group teams in 2-year classes. May have to adjust each tournament based upon numbers and ask for an exemption if we have any outliers.

Ideally, we’ll offer DOT to the following age levels – U9, U11, U13. U15, and High School.

Will offer spots to Lassiter/TYL Families 1^st, then would backfill any openings with other players

Will cap rosters for each team/tournament.

This is not rec lacrosse. It is a competitive program and playing time is earned based on practice habits and being a reliable teammate in games.

Proposal for 2022-2023:

·        10 Skills Sessions (2 sessions in November / 8 sessions in June)

·        Opportunity to participate in 4 Tournaments (1 Fall of 2022 / 3 Summer of 2023) 3 greater Atlanta area / 1 out of town

·        Players will receive a DOT branded jersey/pinnie and t-shirt.

 

Fall – Register now

Non-ECFL High School players & all Youth Players – $200 for 2 Fall skill trainings and Fall tournament

Tournament:

November 12 & 13, 2022 – Southside Holiday Classic in Peachtree City at 2 locations

·        U9 thru 2023

·        5 games min, 6 in some divisions

·        Note – Seniors can play in this tournament

8 Summer Skill Sessions $300 – must select this to play in Summer tournaments

Additional $150 per tournament OR $350 for all 3 Summer Tournaments ($100 savings) – must select the Summer Skill Sessions to play in a summer tournament

Tournaments (SAVE THE DATES):

June 10 & 11, 2023 – Summer Jam / Southern Invitational in Marietta (HS and MS) & Acworth (ES)

·        U9 thru 2024

·        Note – Showcase opportunity Friday before tournament for HS players for additional $

 

June 24 & 25, 2023 – Georgia Shootout in Gainesville, GA
