Girls JTL Tryout Information

Junior Trojan Lacrosse (JTL) Spring 2012

The girls Junior Trojan Lacrosse team is a select team for girls in the 7th and 8th grade who live in the Lassiter High School district.  Experience is not necessary, as we train the new players while working with the returning players.  The team has a particular need for goalies and will offer an opportunity for some great goalie training (goalie equipment is provided)! Girls who do not make the JTL select team, will be given the opportunity to play on the Trojan Youth Lacrosse team U15 team.

We will offer a limited number of sticks and goggles for use on a temporary basis for those who wish to try the game for the first time; please let us know if this will be needed for your player. The cost of Lacrosse equipment as a beginner is nominal.  We encourage basketball and softball players to try out, as these athletes make good Lacrosse players.  We will work around conflicting sports schedules during the tryout period. 

Tryout Registration: October 24th - November 15, 2011

Tryout Fee: $35

Tryout Dates: Nov 7, 2011 - Jan 6, 2012

Tryout Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays, 4:45pm - dark & Saturdays (time tba)

Team Selection Date: January 2012

Team Registration For Those Selected For The Team: Jan 15, 2012.

Season Fees: $425

Season fee includes: uniform, basic photo package and a minimum of (1) tournament.

A (1) or (3) payment plan is available for the $425 season registration fee.

Multi-Player Discount

Trojan Youth Lacrosse offers familes a discount for multiple players within a family.  A 15% discount will be given for each child registered after the first registration.  The discount will be applied during the registration process for 2nd & 3rd children in the program within the same family.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation of registration up to one week after the player's first practice will provide the family a refund of 90% of the registration amount.

Physicals Required

A current physical is required to play Lacrosse.  If a player played in Fall TYL/JTL then they have satisfied their physical requirements for the 2012 tryouts, otherwise a physical must be provided prior to beginning 2012 tryouts.

Proof of Grade Required

Please be prepared to show a copy of your report card or other Cobb County School record that shows evidence of grade level.

US Lacrosse Membership Required

Before you register your player with Junior Trojan Lacrosse, please check the expiration date of their US Lacrosse membership at www.uslacrosse.org.  It is required that each player have a US Lacrosse membership that is current through May 31.  If the membership expires prior to May 31st, 2012 please renew the annual $25 fee.

Parents are responsible for a current membership number and validation in order to complete the JTL registration process.  This membership provides the league with insurance for the team and requires 100% membership participation; a player cannot begin practice until we receive confirmation from US Lacrosse that the membership is current  for the appropriate season.
