Where Does Your Family's Investment in TYL Go?

  • No one takes a salary, we are 100% volunteer  and community based organization
  • Committed a 10 year, $50,000 fund to the "Fixin The Frank" project at Lassiter High School. This donation will be spent on three turf fields allowing our program access to the much-needed Lacrosse fields in the main stadium and the back-fields at Lassiter High School.
  • Annually invest over $8,000 into upgrading the playing surfaces of the fields at McCleskey, Simpson & Mabry Middle schools.
  • Purchased permanent barrier nets at Simpson Middle School (helps reduce ball loss)
  • Purchased 25 portable barriers (helps reduce ball loss)
  • Fund ongoing maintenance of (4) playing fields, including seasonal aerating, seeding, fertilizing, liming and the purchase and maintenance of the equipment to do so.
  • Fund and Donate the equipment and time to teach the game of Lacrosse within the physical education departments of: Mountain View Elementary, Davis Elementary, Garrison Mill Elementary, Mabry Middle and Simpson Middle schools, all of which feed into the Lassiter High School State Championship program.
  • Fund and Donate equipment to numerous families in need.
  • Fund Annual Platinum Sponsor of Lassiter Leaf Fund.
  • Fund (4) annual $500 College Scholarship Awards to (2) deserving Lassiter senior boys and (2) senior girls.
  • Fund Annual Student Recognition Awards granted to students at Mabry Middle, Simpson Middle and McCleskey Middle schools as a token of appreciation for the use of the school's fields.
  • Fund Annual "spruce" up the school day at McCleskey, Simpson, and Mabry Middle and Garrison Middle schools, as a token of appreciation for the use of the school's fields.
  • Fund specialized training for our players and coaches by organizations such as The Dixie Chicks and players (both past and present) from Major League Lacrosse.
  • Provides and fund on-going training to parents, coaches & players under Stanford University's Positive Coaching Alliance program.
  • Incorporates the use of high school Lacrosse players to serve the community by mentoring, coaching & refereeing.
  • With registration fees remaining the same, we now include player appreciation (medal), basic picture package and Roswell Tournament fee.
  • A sample of other ongoing cost to support the program: coaches background security checks, insurance, website, weather hotline, porta-potty (3) on fields, calling post, signage/marketing, lockbox, bank and administration fees, on-going equipment purchases(balls, nets, field paint, goalie equipment, cones, buckets, scorer’s table needs, tables, chairs, replacement of training balls and sticks for area school's physical education programs, replacement locks, vandalism replacement cost, referee fees, referee training fee's, ongoing maintenance to shed and barrier nets, medical kits for each team, coaches DVD training tools, etc.

Your registration fees help pay for some of these expenses, however without fundraising, all of the above initiatives would not be possible.  In order to sustain a healthy TYL future, fundraising is a necessity.  Other goals we are budgeting for include sprinkler systems for playing fields, sod for better playing conditions and additional equipment sheds.
